Camp Rules

Cub Scout Pack 312 has been active in South Tampa since 2002. Part of the Tocobaga District in Tampa's Gulf Ridge Council, our scouting program is open to boys in Grades 1 through 5. Each grade comprises a ‘Den’, and all the dens make up the ‘Pack’.

Our Pack has weekly meetings for activities and introduction of skills, as well as occasional weekend outings and camping trips to gain real life experience with skills learned. Each scout is always accompanied by his ‘Akela’, a parent or other sponsoring adult who helps that boy attain his achievements through attendance and work at home.

The Cub Scout motto is “Do Your Best”! Cub Scouting is an opportunity for families to participate in a positive program to help boys grow through character development, skill building, citizenship, and personal fitness.

The Boy Scouts of America program activities and achievements are certainly beneficial to all boys; but the defining strength of Pack 312 is its diversity. All are welcome in Pack 312, regardless of the form each family takes, or how they spend their Sundays.

Pack 312 weekly meetings are on Monday nights at 6:15 PM, at Peninsular Christian Church 3600 W. Ballast Point Blvd Tampa FL. We are grateful for the use of their facility and the support and acceptance of each of our families own faith.

Though achievement skills are mostly earned at the Den level, our boys also do many things as a Pack. Last year alone, Pack 312 boys enjoyed camping, fossil hunting, fishing, archery, orienteering, zip lines, team building, hiking, conservation programs, community service, and of course racing their handmade cars in the pinewood derby!
